Harini, the author of this book, is a friend of mine on Goodreads and she, very sweetly, asked me to review her books. Always on the lookout for reasons to read more books, I, of course, agreed immediately! Unfortunately, life got in the way and I couldn't find time to read for a few months. Finally, I was able to sit down and read The Smile of Vanuvati, uninterrupted.
This book is a charming tale of four kids, Vittal, Malavika, Chikka, and Bholu, and the enigmatic doll, Vanuvati, who has been passed down over centuries, told in a mildly Enid Blyton-esque manner, which is a delight to read.
Kids will enjoy the adventures of the quartet and simply gobble this quick read in a couple of hours! :) Do pick it up in you spot it in a book store somewhere!
